totally. That character was quite sexy when I was 14 and going through an older-guys thing.

I'd be down. I've got the new remastered box set from the UK (not available in North America for the forseeable future).

Yeah, the new UK box kicks the A&E box's butt.

Although now that McGoohan's passed on, maybe they'll replicate it here. All-new transfers from original film elements vs. A&E's old laserdisc-era video transfers, and newly remastered soundtracks. The difference is striking.

Here are more comparisons between the old and new DVDs.

Fuck, this is the first I've heard of it.
(I was away from communications for a while)
Wow.
I thought about the Prisoner today. The first time I've thought
about it in a while. I thought of a screenplay for a movie influenced
by The Prisoner today.

This means I must write the screenplay!

It is my absolute opinion that only Colin Firth has the brooding intensity
required to portray Number 6 on the silver screen.

This scene shows Colin Firth walking angrily, as Number Six does in the Prisoner intro:

That's a fucking Number Six if I ever saw one!

It'll probably be a Jason Statham thing with kung fu and explosions.
