On December 23, 2002, Scenery was released after a group effort spanning 12 months and involving over 100 people.. It was the first skate video to come out of the island, and this summer we're filming another one. Scenery 2 will be released in the spring of 2005. It's going to be better, nicer looking, and longer than the first video. It's also going to have more snowboarding, and invevitably more of the stupid stuff that comes along with being a skateboarder. If you haven't seen scenery, check out
http://cblocals.com/scenery for more info.

is there snowboarding?
yep, we're going to film during the winter months of the 04/05 season. (UPDATE: this didn't happen, due to harry being busy with school).
i heard you cancelled scenery 2
things got a little shaky in fall 2003, but things are moving forward very well as of late 2004. hoping to get it out spring '05.
aren't you like, not involved with locals or something?
that is correct. i'm just sticking around on the skateboarding side to finish up this video.
where do i get the trailers?
trailer 1 came out in august 2003. download it in
divx or
mpeg format.
trailer 2 click here for trailer 2
when does filming start?
april 2003, and going until early 2005. yes it's taking almost 2 years. that's life
are there going to be sessions?
check for them on the messageboard right here!
soundtrack?
all local music of course.. however don't expect another 20 song banger cd. expect better.
can my band be in the soundtrack?
unfortunately, i'm going to be playing god and deciding what music i think is going to go best with the skating. skaters are going to have a certain amount of choice for the songs they want, but i want to make sure that everything fits together the way i want.
are you releasing on vhs again?
nope. dvd+cd dual disk set. 20 bucks BAM.
is there going to be a divx rip?
yeah the whole video will be freely released after enough copies are sold. the plan with the first scenery was a divx-only release, but so many people wanted to own a vhs that i got them made. so buy the video and download the rip, or just wait till the rip comes out, it's up to you.
what's the dilly on the premiere?
i'm hoping to get it premiered in a theatre, however i'm not sure what format they require in order to play it (does anybody know?).. if the theatre is a no-go, then it'll be on a digital projector again. admission for the premiere will be cheaper than last year. anyway, that's too far in the future to think about now.
can i have a part?
parts are going to be given out based on skating throughout the summer. there might be snowboard parts too, but again, it's too early in the game to say. though there are some people i am confident will have parts, it's all going to boil down to how much you rip. and if you had a part in the first scenery, you're going to have to step it if you want to get a part in this one.
what about montage?
the montage rules from the last video apply. i'm not making any decisions about what tricks/people are going in montage until edit time.
can i submit my own footage?
yes i'll be accepting footage in dv format. low quality mini vhs stuff isn't going to make the grade. digital stuff is preferred, and analog footage will only be accepted if the picture quality is really nice.
how long is it going to be?
i'm really aiming at 60 minutes. but making the first one 30 minutes was hard!
